Interesting. I think next to perhaps the printing press, the internet might be one of the most influential inventions in history. Thanks, Al Gore. Anyway- I think what this said about consumption is very true. Especially here in the west- it’s our nature to create something good and then exploit it, dehumanize it, and consume the hell out of it until it’s no longer any use to us. We do it with coffee, celebrities, oil, and perhaps as this video suggests- information. It’s not necessarily the internets problem- but a human problem…a soul problem.

I love free information though. The fact that music and such isn’t controlled anymore by the uber rich and selfish. I feel like i can get so much closer to it. I think because there is some much out there - you really have to learn to think for yourself and investigate. Maybe that’s not so bad.

Just thoughts.
